Al Fanar launch entourage top 10 event management companies in Dubai


The most ambitious mixed-use development in Fujairah deserved a glorious opening and the agency was recruited to create a launch event that would rival the best in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.


A star lineup of seasoned operetta performers was brought together to create a living museum of Fujairah’s story, from past to present and vision for the future. Fujairah: Escan Investment and Real Estate Development has started selling one of its projects in Fujairah as the property firm revives another project along the emirate's coast in Dibba. "The crisis is affecting projects in the UAE in general but Fujairah has a shortage of accommodation over the next two years. We're part of building the supply required," said board member and acting CEO, Saeed Al Mehairie. The Al Fanar development, which was first announced at Cityscape Abu Dhabi 2007, presents three towers overlooking the sea, a 30-storey commercial building and a 37-storey residential abode. It features designer apartments from studios to three-bedroom flats as well as four bedroom penthouses, equipped with smart home technology. The third 20-storey tower's use is still to be decided, Hamptons International is in charge of the feasibility study to determine whether it should be a hotel, as previously envisaged, or another commercial tower said Al Mehairie. Set right in the heart of the city, the development easily connects to the new Dubai-Fujairah fast route which is expected to be completed by the end of the year, putting Dubai International Airport within 20-minute reach. The Fanar Tower development is valued at Dh1.2 billion, Dh350 million land and the rest construction said Al Mehairie. Construction is underway and will hand over in 2013. "We decided to only launch now because construction costs were very high. Now we saved 50 per cent, good for us and the end-user." The residential units have been launched at Dh600 per square foot. Payments are to be made quarterly with 35 per cent after handover. Prices for the office units are still to be decided, the developer added. GCC residents will be able to own the units outright, while expatriates could buy through their companies as long as they are 51 per cent owned by an Emirati. Al Mehairie reckons the projects proximity to Fujairah's free zone and the port's expansion will attract a lot of businesses wishing to buy or lease space. Dubai's Salwan Property management has been announced as the exclusive sales agent for 50 per cent of the project for the next six months.
